Police in Choma have arrested a 41-year-old father for impregnating his own biological daughter.
Southern Police Chief Bobby Kapeso has confirmed the arrest of Hastings Siambulo in an interview with The Independent Observer.
Mr Kapeso said Siambulo of Maleba Settlement Farm is alleged to have had carnal knowledge of his daughter, 16.
He said the incidence happened between November last year and February this year.
“His wife reported the matter to police. Later the girl was subjected to medical examination and it was discovered that she was 31 weeks pregnancy.
“We have arrested the Father and charged him with incest. He will appear in court soon,” he said.
