Zesco Limited refutes advertisement of vacancy as fake

Zesco Limited has refuted the advertisement of a vacancy circulating on social media platforms as fake.

Zesco Public Relations Manager Hazel Zulu said members of the public should be alert of a scam by unknown persons circulating fake employment advertisements on various online platforms purporting to be from ZESCO when in fact not.

Ms Zulu said ZESCO is dismayed by an advertisement for a Stores Assistant making rounds on some social media platforms posted yesterday 23rd March 2021.

She said that the said advert is fabricated and did not originate from Zesco.

“We would like to inform the public that ZESCO is an equal opportunity employer and any available employment opportunities are advertised through official channels such as the print media, the company’s official corporate website and official ZESCO Limited Facebook and LinkedIn pages,” he said.

Ms said Zesco will not be held liable for any loss suffered by members of the public who become victims of fraud from unauthorized individuals.

She said the public is advised to report any suspicious adverts to Zesco offices or the Zambia police.
