 Zanaco out of CAF Champions League

Zanaco have dropped to the CAF Confederation Cup after being eliminated from the Champions League.
Zanaco’s elimination from the Champions League was confirmed on Saturday after losing 4-2 on aggregate to Al Merreikh of Sudan at second preliminary stage.
The Bankers today beat Al Merreikh 2-1 at home in Lusaka but went out having lost the first leg match 3-0 in Egypt where the Sudanese are playing home matches.
Al Merreikh scored through Edjomariegwe Tony Omayarue in the 13th minute but Emmanuel Manda equalised nine minutes later at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
Abraham Siankombo scored Zanaco’s winner four minutes away from full time.
