Zamtel rolls out Tatyola Nafuti, cuts mobile money withdrawal fees

By Staff Writer

Zamtel Mobile Money has announced a reduction in withdrawal charges for the next 30 days in a campaign dubbed Tatyola Nafuti, a revamp of the original Tatyola campaign which ran in March.

Through Tatyola Nafuti, all Zamtel Kwacha withdrawals of above K150 to K5,000 will only attract a K5 withdrawal fee.

Those withdrawing amounts of K150 and below will maintain the same withdraw charge of K2.40.

The promotion will run from today, December 10th 2021 up to January 10th 2022.

Zamtel Corporate Communications Manager Changwe Kabwe explained that the return of Tatyola Nafuti campaign is in response to the customer demands based on the response recorded in the initial campaign.

Mr Kabwe stated that Tatyola Nafuti also aims to increase the use of digital finance in Zambia adding that Zamtel is confident that the reduction in withdrawal charges will translate into real savings for Zamtel Mobile Money customers.

“We are excited to announce the return of Tatyola Nafuti, a month long campaign which will boost the adoption of digital finance in Zambia as the reduced fees will attract more customers resulting in more transactions,” Mr Kabwe said.

Mr Kabwe has since encouraged Zambians to fully embrace the use of digital transactions as a way of helping curb the spread of Covid-19.

“We are aware that global trends point to a fully digitized future and we believe that Tatyola Nafuti and all other initiatives we are doing as Zamtel will help millions of customers shift towards a digital lifestyle,” he added.

He said Zamtel customers can enjoy the Tatyola Nafuti campaign and other value added services on Zamtel Mobile Money by dialing *344# and *115#.
