Zambian Businesswoman dies in Botswana

A Zambian businesswoman has died in Botswana after a short and sudden illness while she was doing her business.

Grace Kabuku, a cross border trader from Lusaka died at a Gaborone hospital on Monday morning.

Ms Kabuku had travelled to Botswana for business and was rushed to the hospital by her two friends after she suddenly fell ill.

Zambia’s Deputy High Commissioner to Botswana Goodwell Lungu said the Mission received the news of Ms Kabuku with shock and sadness.

Mr Lungu said the Mission was making efforts to locate the relatives of Ms Kabuku in Zambia.

He said an appeal had been set in motion to repatriate the remains of the body of Ms Kabuku with the Zambian Community in Botswana.

Mr. Lungu thanked Zambians resident in Gaborone for their swift response to the call to have Ms Kabuku be given a dignified send off.
