Zambia, Saudi Arabia enjoying good relationship

By JOHN SAKALA
The Zambian Embassy in Saudi Arabia has continued to promote fraternal relations between Zambia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia both on the economic and social front.

This can be evidenced by the continual interaction between the top leadership at all levels.

President Edgar Lungu recently extended his warm wishes to His Majesty, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-saud and wished him a quick recovery following a recent successful medical procedure.

President Lungu reaffirmed Zambia’s commitment to working with the Saudi Government and its people adding that the country would continue supporting the Kingdom’s global humanitarian efforts.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of the State of Kuwait received a cable from President Lungu, inquiring about the health of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, wishing him swift recovery.

The Deputy Amir expressed gratitude over President Lungu’s sincere gesture and wished him good health and welfare.

These are just some of the gestures that have been reciprocated between Zambia and nations in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

Similar exchanges are continually carried out at ministerial and other lower levels on a regular basis.

This is contained in a media statement by issued by Zambian Deputy Ambassador in Saudi Arabia Huzaifa Jada.
