Zambia records 1 Covid-19 death, 3 new cases

Zambia has recorded one death of the Covid-19 patient and records 3 more cases making the total number to 39.

Health Minister Chutalu Chilufya  said that the patient had underlined chronicle respiratory disorder and the history of travel to South Africa and had contact with people who traveled to high risk countries.

Dr Chilufya said all his contact have been followed up.

He also said that the three new cases are secondary contact to two separate Covid 19 confirmed cases.

Dr Chilufya said this has confirmed that local person to person transmission are occurring in our communities.

He said all the people testing positive are under the care of Government.

Dr Chilufya said the government continue to monitor and trace all contact and alerts.

He has urged the people to protect the right of these suspected to be convid-19 and ensure safety for them.

Dr Chilufya said the government is increasing capacity and training leaders from marketeers and commuters.
