The Zambia Police Service has issued a statement refuting allegations that Bowman Lusambo distributed Hungry Lion food packs to police officers in Kabwe. According to the statement, Lusambo purchased food packs on June 3, 2024, but they were not intended for police officers.
The police clarified that:
– Lusambo did not interact with officers regarding the food packs.
– The food packs were dumped and later given to members of the public.
– The allegations suggesting Lusambo bought food for police officers are unfounded and misleading.
The police urged the public to verify facts before spreading unverified information and encouraged responsible reporting from citizens and the media. They reiterated their commitment to serving with integrity and transparency.
