Chipolopolo have finished second at the Four-nation pre-CHAN tournament in Yaoundé after beating the host Cameroon 2-0 on Thursday night.
Zambia finished second at the tournament with four points, three behind eventual champions Uganda.
Niger and Cameroon emerged third and fourth with four points and one respectively.
Meanwhile, a goal each from forward Collins Sikombe and defender Zachariah Chilongoshi helped Zambia to thump Cameroon.
Sikombe opened the scoring in the 48th minute to net his third goal of the competition.
Chilongoshi doubled the lead in the 59th minute as Zambia recovered from Monday’s 2-0 loss to Uganda.
