The Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation (ZAFFICO) has procured state-of-the-art wood harvesting equipment at a cost of over USD1million.
ZAFFICO’s Public Relations Manager Irene Chipili said that this is in efforts to manage round wood business efficiently and effectively.
Ms Chipili said this equipment will enable the Corporation implement a fair, transparent, accountable and sustainable system for round wood business.
She said the Corporation is currently undertaking stakeholder consultations prior to the operationalization of the new equipment.
“ZAFFICO remains committed to supporting the timber industry in Zambia at all levels of business,” she said.
