Governance and Development Advocates Zambia has urged the youths to take keen interest in good governance and development taking place in the Country under President Hakainde Hichilema’s leadership.
Executive Director Elias Mulenga said the Government of Zambia has shown political will to empower the youth through many developmental activities ranging from grants, bursaries, employment and loans.
Mr. Mulenga said the move is an indication that President Hichilema is equal to task in improving the livelihoods of Zambian youths.
He noted that youths should learn from the past mistakes they have been making by allowing outsiders to engage or comment on Zambia’s youths affairs in a negative manner than providing solutions that the youths are faced with during this most difficult time.
Meanwhile, Mr Mulenga said United States of America Ambassador to Zambia and his UK Counterpart should sympathise with the youths of Zambia.
He urged the apex envoys to provide solutions on how the youths can improve unlike asking them to start demanding what the Zambian authorities are already providing to them.
Mr Mulenga has appealed to the Diplomats to treat Zambia as a Sovereign Country and allow international cooperation and bilateral relationship between the two nations continue to share a common goal of good governance, Democracy and Development to take the lead.
He further said youths of Zambia should take full responsibility of the many damages caused to nation rising from misinformation from outsiders which at times has resulted in riotous behaviour by youths which leads to loss of lives and causes irreparable damage to the economic growth.
