The Zambia U-20 Women’s national team will face Congo Brazzaville in the third round of the 2022 Costa Rica FIFA Under 20 Women’s World Cup.
Initially, the fixtures showed that the Young Queens would face Ghana but the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the Young Copper Queens will face the Young Diablesses Rouges.
The Young Queens beat the Young Scorchers of Malawi 8-1 on aggregate to progress the third round while Congo beat Egypt’s Young Cleopatra’s 4-2 on aggregate to set up this thrilling encounter.
Skipper Evarine Susan Katongo and co will have to put in even better performances as they face Congo despite the big 8-1 aggregate win in the second round.
Other big match pairings will see Nigeria square off with Cameroon while the Basetsana of South Africa has been paired with Ghana.
The Charles Haalubono coached side will host Congo on the weekend of 3-4 December before traveling to Congo for the return leg on the weekend of 17-18 December
