WWE SummerSlam 2018 match card, rumors

The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the SummerSlam show set to take place on Sun., Aug. 19, 2018, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

This will mark the fourth time in as many years the company will hold this event in the area.

We’re still a month out from showtime and the card looks like this:

  • Brock Lesnar (c) vs. TBA (Universal championship)

As of now, the winner of the Roman Reigns vs. Bobby Lashley match on Monday Night Raw this week will determine who gets the shot at Lesnar.

  • AJ Styles (c) vs. TBA (WWE championship)

Paige has promised an announcement this week on who will be challenging Styles for his title.

  • Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Ronda Rousey (Raw women’s championship)

Despite repeatedly breaking the rules of her suspension, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle awarded Rousey a title shot after Bliss cost Ronda her title match against Nia Jax.

  • The Bludgeon Brothers (c) vs. TBA (SmackDown tag team championship)

Per Paige, four teams will have a chance to earn a title shot starting on SmackDown Live this coming week. The teams involved have yet to be announced

We can be reasonably sure all titles will be defended on this show, so expect announcements on that in the coming weeks/SBNATION.
