Minister of infrastructure Housing and Urban Development Charles Milupi says works on the Solwezi Chingola duo carriage way road, Solwezi –Kipushi road and Solwezi-Mutanda -Mwinilunga road will commence this year 2022.
Mr Milupi said that the roads mentioned above are economical roads that will boost trade between the countries like Angola, DRC Congo and Namibia.
He said that Government will improve the infrastructures at all the border posts in Northwestern Province to enhance economic trade.
“Government will be traveling to Angola for bilateral talks, because President Hichilema has raised three fundamental preconditions for effective and insufficient infrastructure development which are infrastructure projects to be procured at the correct price, project to be delivered at the prescribed quality and projects to be delivered on the agreed time frame,” he said.
Mr Milupi said that the roads will be constructed on public private partnership (PPP) basis.
He also urged the provincial administration to support the Ministry in North Western Province.
