A-23-year-old woman of Chambishi has been raped by two unidentified men who took turns in raping her.
Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba said that on January 18, 2023 at around 20:00hrs, the victim knocked off from where she works as a sales lady.
Mr Meemba said that on her way home, she saw two men, both putting on black clothes coming from a narrow road into the main road she was using.
He said when they reached near her, they grabbed and dragged her into an unfinished building behind Seventh Day church along Buntungwa Road where they had sex with her one after the other.
“She failed to shout as her mouth was covered with a cloth. After finishing, they ran away. The victim got dressed up and went home,” he said.
Mr Mweemba said investigations have been instituted and the victim is in a stable condition.
