A-33-year-old woman of Lusaka’s Misisi Township has been arrested for hitting her eight year old son on his private part with an iron bar after stealing a piece of chicken from the pot.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said Police have formerly charged and arrested Jessy Banda for the offence of assault on a child contrary to the laws of Zambia.
Mr Hamoonga said brief facts of the case are that Jessy assault her son by way of hitting him on his genitals with an iron bar after the son stole a piece of chicken from the pot.
“This occurred on 26th December, 2021 in Misisi Compound. The accused will appear in court soon,” he said.
