Chingola District Commissioner Raphael Chinupi has called on the leaders and the Ward Development Committee (WDC) in Chingola’s Muchishi area to work together with the community in spare heading the projects in the District.
Speaking during the tour of Developmental Projects and site visit for a new modern market in Muchinshi yesterday, Mr Chinupi said this will improve the living standard of people in the community.
And Chingola Mayor Johnson Kang’ombe said Government want the community in Muchinshi to choose a right place to build a modern market as it is their right.
Mr. Kang’ombe also said the old market will be relocated to a new site of Tumfwane to pave way for the Solwezi dual carriage way which has been already marked.
Muchinshi Secondary School Deputy Head Teacher Gospel Kaonga said the schools facing challenges of lack of classroom blocks and Teachers houses.
And the community called on relevant Authorities to work on Shamata Stream Bridge, but the DC assured them that the bridge will be worked on using the disaster unit funds in the first quarter of 2023 budget.
