A-39-year-old man of Lusaka is nursing burns after his wife poured hot cooking oil on him.
And Police have launched a manhunt for Elizabeth Mweete 32, the wife to the victim who is on the run.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said Mweete assaulted her husband Alex Muleya of House number 116 Kuku Township by pouring hot cooking oil on him.
Mr Hamoonga said the victim sustained severe burns on the back, left side of his face and eye.
He said the incident occurred on December 28, 2021 around 22:30 hours at the couple’s house.
Mr Hamoonga said is currently admitted to Chawama level one Hospital.
“We are appealing to members of the public who may know the whereabouts of the suspect to report to any nearest Police Station, ” he said.
