A-78-year-old man of Mukambo has died after he was beaten by his wife using a pounding stick.
John Mumba the victim on August 1, 2022 at around 20.00 hours beaten by his wife Sena Chifula 78, after a domestic quarrel and he later died on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at around 12hours at Murundu Clinic where he was taken for medication.
Copperbelt Police Commanding Office Sharon Zulu police visited the clinic where the victim was admitted and examined the body which had visible head injuries caused by a pounding stick alleged to have been used to inflict the injuries.
She said the police have since arrested Sena Chifula (wife to the victim) the body of the deceased was later deposited to Ronald Ross hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Investigations continue.
