We want to transform Chingola-Edgar Lungu

By JOHN SAKALA
President Edgar  Lungu says his dream is to transform Chingola so that it can retain its lost glory of being the cleanest Town in Zambia.

Speaking when he made brief stop at Chiwempala market today, President Lungu said that his Government is committed to ensuring that the road projects are executed on time.

He said during campaigns, he promised the people of Chingola of working on roads and now his promise is being realized.

Mr Lungu implored the two Members of Parliament Chali Chilombo for Nchanga and Matthew Nkhuwa for Chingola plus Chingola Mayor Titus Tembo to supervise the works to ensure that quality work is done.

He told the residents of Chingola to desist from bad vices such as quarry in the newly constructed roads or stealing cement during the project.

The President said the project is aimed to benefiting all Zambians.

The President was accompanied by Infrastructure Minister Ronald Chitotela and State House Minister Freedom Sikazwe.

Other Ministers on hand to receive him were Foreign Affairs Minister Joe Malanji, Mines Minister Richard Musukwa and Energy Minister Matthew Nkhuwa.

Nchanga MP and other several MPs were also on hand.
