The United Party for National Development has dismissed claims by the opposition Patriotic Front that it is sponsoring the internal wrangles in their party.
UPND National Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa said the PF should not involve the ruling party in house wrangles and affairs of their party.
Speaking at a press briefing, Mr Mweetwa said that the claims indicates that they cannot survive in the opposition .
And He said no one will in the UPND will be given a special treatment after breaking the law
“The recent arrest of some senior Government officials and those affiliated to the ruling party by police is a clear manifestation of the party’s commitment to upholding the rule of law,” he said.
Mr Mweetwa added that the UPND will not protect anyone found violating the law despite their affiliation.
