Vice President Inonge Wina happy that the 200 million dollars partnership investment with the China National Building Materials (CNBM) group is coming up accordingly.
The partnership is aimed at contributing to the realization of the Vision 2030 to transform Zambia into a prosperous middle-income nation by 2030.
“Government appreciates the partnership with CNBM as it is the largest investment in Africa, I would also like call on the company management to also consider exploring other business opportunities in other parts of the country,” he said.
She was speaking when she toured the CNBM Zambia Industrial Park in Chongwe district yesterday.
And CNBM Mpande limestone limited Managing Director, Zhang Yuanci said the company has created 400 direct jobs and has not set any anyone on forced leave despite the effects of the covid-19 pandemic.
“I wish to mention that the company paid over six million kwacha in taxes per month and ten million kwacha in fees to municipalities and related organizations in 2020,” he said.
