UPND on the Copperbelt dares PF to arrest HH

By NCHIMUNYA MIYOBA
United Party for National Development (UPND) on the Copperbelt has unearthed plans by the ruling patriotic Front (PF) to have their party leader Hakainde Hichilema arrested on trampled up charges.

And UPND says the party is ready for the ruling PF if they arrest Mr Hichilema.

Speaking in Kitwe this morning UPND Provincial Chairperson Elisha Matambo said PF should arrest those that bought the fire tenders, ambulances and the missing 48 houses than putting all their energies on one person.

Mr Matambo said Copperbelt is ready for PF led government to arrest Mr Hichilema as they will feel their weight.

He said people of Zambia have had enough of the ruling party dubious mission on their leader.

“There is a time when the people say enough is enough. And this is it. Should PF go ahead with their plans to arrest HH in order to achieve their dubious mission to kill him, then let them kill all of us on the Copperbelt,” he said.

Mr Matambo wondered why Mr Hichilema is the most abused political figure in the country by those in government.

He said Mr Hichilema has suffered alot of injustice and hate by the ruling party just to stop him appearing on the ballot paper in the coming general elections slated for next year.

And reacting on the recent attacks from the opposition Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD)leader Edith Nawakwi, Mr Matambo said Ms Nawakwi is corrupt and has corrupt morals.

He said Ms Nawakwi has failed to tell Zambians how the money generated from the sale of mines was used when she was Finance Minister.

“People that condemned HH are them themselves condemned and corrupt. Edith Nawakwi is corrupt. Let her tell us about the Carlington maize scandal. Where is the money generated from the sale of the mines? Where is the money from the ZAMTROP account,” he stressed.
