UPND Kwacha constituency youth boss nabbed

Police on the Copperbelt have apprehended three people among them United Party for National Development member Lingo Nyirenda after they allegedly caused confusion in Kwacha Constituency.
Lingo,who is also UPND Kwacha Constituency Youth Chairman has been charged with malicious damage to property.


Lingo,46 and two others caused a fracas and in the process damaged property at Bulangilio Clinic this week when Patriotic Front’s Joel Malanji,who is area member of parliament went to handover furniture to the health facility.

Copperbelt Police acting Commanding Officer Sharon Zulu confirmed the arrest of the trio in a statement issued yesterday.

“We also have in custody two women, making the total of suspects apprehended to three. The same will appear in the courts of law by Wednesday next week,” she said.

According to eye witness Lingo led other UPND cadres who were throwing all sorts of missiles which included bottles and stones to disturb the handover.
