UPND cadres in Luasnshya condemned

By MAIMBO MWEEMBA
The Rainbow Party has condemned in strongest terms the act by some UPND cadres in Luanshya that vandalized the Nathan Chanda Police station.

Yesterday a video of some UPND cadres erasing the name Nathan Chanda from a police station, went viral and reasons behind the act are unknown as the UPND have not spoken over the matter yet.

And Rainbow Party National Spokesperson Humphrey Kabwe said the act was happening as a police officer stood and watched helplessly.

Mr Kabwe has since called upon the home Affairs Minister Jack Mwiimbu and the police to immediately arrest the involved UPND cadres.

He said that it is unfortunate to see the UPND cadres continue terrorizing innocent people while President Hakainde Hichilema continues to pay a blind eye to the evil activities his cadres are doing in the country.

“As a party, we appeal to the president to show leadership by ensuring that those UPND criminals are arrested and caged, it is now proving that president Hichilema preaching on caderism is only meant to blackmail Zambians.”

If he had meant his words, we could have seen action been taking by arresting those UPND cadres who have harassed innocent people around the country. Let him stop taking and begin acting,” he said.

Mr Kabwe said that they believe that former Luanshya Mayor Nathan Chanda served the people in the district diligently so it is only right that he is accorded accolades.
