UNZA vice chancellor fired

University of Zambia Vice Chancellor Luke Mumba’s contract of employment has been terminated.

Professor Mumba’s contract together with that of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Tamala Kambikambi has been terminated by the Caretaker Committee.

University of Zambia Registrar, Theresa Chalwe confirmed that the termination is with effect from today, May 6, 2022.

Ms Chalwe said the terminations are in line with the relevant clauses of their respective contracts of employment.

She said the Caretaker Committee has thanked the Vice Chancellor and the Deputy Vice Chancellor for their immeasurable services to the University of Zambia, and wished them the best in their future endeavors.
