UNZA hostels now coronavirus free

By JOHN SAKALA
The University of Zambia (UNZA) says the hostels are now coronavirus (Covid-19) free.

UNZA Acting Head of Communication and Marketing Brenda Bukowa said the hostels at the Great East Road campus have been disinfected and safe to use as of Friday, May 30, 2020.

“UNZA management would like to inform the university community, as well as the general public that the new Residence hostels earlier designated as quarantine areas by government through the Ministry of Health (MOH) have now become a safe space for use after relocation of truck drivers to another place.

“The University Management is thankful to the Ministry of Health and other co-operating partners for the support rendered during the time the institutional infrastructure was in use as a quarantine centre,” she said.

Dr Bukowa also thanked university community for abiding by the guidelines stipulated by the authorities.
