Unidentified man found dead in Kitwe’s Twatasha Township

An unknown man has been found dead in Kitwe along the Rail way line opposite Twatasha Towns
hip.

Copperbelt Police commanding Officer Sharon Zulu said the death is sudden and unnatural.

Ms Zulu said that Pearson Kala a CCPU officer reported the incident which occurred on July 2, 2022 at around 1100 hours along the Railway line opposite Twatasha Township in Kitwe to Garneton Police Station

“Kala reported through a phone call that there was a dead body of unknown person lying along the railway line. Police visited the crime scene and found the body lying down with foam coming out from the nose, no physical injuries were found,” she said.

Ms Zulu said brief facts of the matter are that, the victim was earlier seen walking along the railway line with a bag containing clothes and later collapsed.

 She said that the body has since been taken to Kitwe Teaching Hospital mortuary and no foul play suspected.

Ms Zulu said investigations have been launched into the matter.
