A-52-year- old woman of Mufumbwe has died after she was strike by lightening inside her house.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo said Monica Muswenyesa died Sudden and Unnatural around 2300 hours, at Likulau Village after she was struck by lightning inside her house.
She said the body is in Mufumbwe District Hospital mortuary awaiting burial.
In a related development a five year old girl has died after she was struck by lightning while her parents survived with injuries.
Ms Katongo said Mizezo Siamukoma died while her father Robert Siamakoma 56, and her mother Emmelda Mulinda 37 survived with injuries.
She also said a two year old Juvenile Sevina Siamukoma sustained injuries and her condition is unstable.
Ms Katongo said all are admitted to Kazungula Clinic while the body of the deceased is in Batoka mortuary Hospital awaiting Postmodern.
