TopStar, the leading terrestrial television signal platform, is thrilled to announce the addition of two new local channels, Muchinga channel 100 and Thrive television CH 130 stations, to its platform. The addition of the two brings the total number of operational local TV channels on the platform to 42.
And Lumen TV CH 101 has extended signal coverage to 15 sites – along the line of rail and the provincial headquarters.
So far, 15 local channels are covered countrywide – 10 of which are on both Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT or Antenna) and Direct To Home (DTH or Dish) platforms; eight (8) with latest addition of Lumen TV are on the 15 sites coverage – along the line of rail and provincial headquarters while 19 are on single site coverage.
Muchinga TV CEO, Mr. Fred Mbewe, expressed excitement about the partnership with TopStar, which aims to expand the station’s audience across Zambia and beyond.

Thrive TV is a family-oriented edutainment television station that focuses on content appealing to young people, aiming to inspire and educate audiences from diverse backgrounds.
Lumen TV CEO Father Arthur Ntembula said that viewers should expect more local content and better picture quality.
Lumen TV, which is a Catholic Media Services supported channel, has until recently been accessed in Lusaka only since its addition on the TopStar platfom in 2019.
