The Zambia Football Fans Association (ZAFFA) has saluted Nkana and Napsa Stars for qualifying to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Nkana on Sunday night lost 2-1 to Tihad Casablanca but qualified 3-2 on aggregate following a 2-0 first leg win in Kitwe on February 14.
Napsa forced a 2-2 draw at home in Lusaka against Gor Mahia of Kenya to advance 3-2 on aggregate.
ZAFFA General Secretary Chawezi Katwizi said winning first leg matches helped both Nkana and Napsa to advance to the Confederation Cup group stage.
“I think it is all joy for Zambian football and for each and every supporter. This is victory for Zambia, its sweet victory for all involved,” Katwizi said.
The ZAFFA chief has since advised Nkana and Napsa to prepare adequately for the group stage that starts on March 10.
“Time for celebrations is over. Let the two clubs prepare well for the group stage. They should also learn to manage well at home matches like they did in the previous round,” Katwizi said.
