United Party for National Development (UPND) North Western province youth information and publicity secretary in-charge of media Ezira Shapi says province is on the ground to sensitize the youths to form co0rporatives to enable them benefit from the empowerments.
Mr Shapi said that Government has done its part; it is now the youths’ part to be active and start forming clubs and cooperatives.
“As the provincial youth leaders we are working closely with all the twelve district commissioners and the councils to disseminate the information regarding the accessing the youth empowerment, benefiting from the empowerment requires active participation and innovativeness by the young people,” he said.
Mr Shapi said that Government has many empowerment projects not only from the ministry of youth but also from ministry of small and medium enterprises and green economy as per 2022 budget.
“The traditional leadership in the province has to help in to sensitizing the youths in all their chiefdoms to enable them get empowered, we are also aware that traditional leaders are critical in the development of the province hence them the need to integrate them in a developmental agenda,” he said.
