Thieves in Solwezi steal Zed pads

Thieves have stolen Zed pads worth thousands of Kwacha at Manyama Primary School in Kalumbila, Solwezi district.

North Western Province Deputy Commissioner of Police Fred Mulenga said the incident occurred on January 29, 2022 at Manyama Primary school.

Dr Mulenga said the Senior teacher’s office was broken into by unknown persons and stole some properties namely 35 Zed pads for education purposes valued at  K52, 500=00 and Cash money amounting to K1000 meant for teacher’s welfare.

He said the suspects also attempted to break into Head teacher’s office, Deputy Head teacher’s office and store room.

Dr Mulenga also said that the entry was gained through by means of dismantling the locking system of the door and the same was used as an exit.

Docket of case opened and arrest have not been made police visited the Scene of crime.
