Some Traditional leaders in Chifunabuli District of Luapula Province say there is no need to change government.
Speaking on behalf of the traditional leaders, Senior Chief Mwewa said President Edgar Lungu should continue beyond 2021 because of the good performance of the PF administration.
Chief Mwewa said people conversant with Chifunabuli can attest that the area has improved under President Lungu’s rule.
“People of Luapula cannot be told that PF has failed when they are able to see roads, hospitals and schools that have been put up by government, and the chiefs are happy with President Lungu’s decision to choose Professor Nkandu Luo as his running mate,” he said.
Chief Mwewa also commended president Lungu for adopting women as parliamentary candidates.
Chief Mwewa was said this when President Lungu held a meeting with them in Chifunabuli District.
And President Lungu thanked the traditional leaders for the support he has been getting so far from them.
“My government will continue working with chiefs to take development to the people; it also will ensure that projects that are under construction are completed in due course,” he said.
