The state of Kamuchanga Hospital worrisome–Kashinga

United Party for National Development (UPND) parliamentary candidate for Mufulira Central Constituency Reagan Kashinga has bemoaned the poor state of affairs at Kamuchanga Hospital.

Mr Kashinga said the state of Kamuchanga Hospital has made the work of health workers difficulty as well as patients in need of health services.

He said Kamuchanga Hospital is faced with a lot of problem that includes shortage of medicines at the hospital, no x-ray machines and lack of laboratory equipment and other essentials.

“The situation at Kamuchanga hospital is worrisome, most the machines are not working to conduct the tests, so when given a prescription we do don’t know where their basing their analyses, “he said.

Mr Kashinga said that the population in the area is over 15o thousand and they all depend at Kamuchanga being the government Hospital because most the people don’t work in the area.

He said that lack of basic needs at the hospital gives no hope to the patient because patients are always coming out with prescription only without medicines.

Mr Kashinga has called on government through Mufulira district to offer solutions that will ensure that challenges faced by heath workers and patients are sorted out urgently
