Chingola Member of Parliament Matthew Nkhuwa and his wife Rose have contributed K20, 000 in the Reverend’s basket at St Marks Congregation of United Church of Zambia in Chingola.
The church had held the fundraiser for Minister’s Home Empowerment earlier on where only Rose Nkhuwa, the wife of the MP attended and donated K10, 000 cash.
Today, Mr Nkhuwa who is also a UCZ congregant but congregates with Kabundi~Kapisha Congregation went to St Marks to beef up support by donating K10, 000.
He also pledged another K20, 000 for the construction of the ablution block at the church.
Speaking after making the donation, Mr Nkhuwa implored more Christians to go into the political arena in order for the arena to register meaningful success.
He said politicians need to avoid politics of insults and concentrate on working for the people.
He urged Christians to register as voters in order to elect the leaders of their choice.
Mr Nkhuwa said his Government is committed to delivering to the people of Zambia.
He said the government has done a lot of development projects to enhance the country’s progress.
And St Marks Rev Chrispin Mbalazi thanked the Minister for the gesture and for taking time to congregate with his congregation members.
