World Youth and Leadership Foundation (WYLF) has challenged political parties to fully support youth candidates with financial support and campaigning materials as 12th August draw closer.
Director General Nalishebo Nyambe has urged political parties to fully support youth’s candidates with enough resources needed for to deliver their campaign message.
Mr Nyambe said youths are facing challenges to campaign during this period of covid-19 which has caused a lot of restrictions.
He said the situation which may hinder their performance and campaign strategy hence the need for political parties to show solidarity within the remaining few days before the polls.
Mr Nyambe said supporting youths to take up civic positions will assist the nation in developing policies that will respond to the specific needs of the younger.
“Furthermore we also want to encourage youths to remain calm knowing that world Youth and Leadership Foundation want to see more youths parliamentarians after 12th August,” he said.
