Chingola Mayor Johnson Kangombe has called on residents to stop disposing off garbage carelessly in the district.
Mr Knag’ombe has urged the residents through their Councilors to find designated places in their wards where to throw the garbage so that it becomes easy for the council to collect from one place.
He also has advised that people to choose a day where the council can collect their garbage from that designated area in all wards
“We want to keep Chingola clean and heath that why we are collecting garbage in markets and other areas where they is garbage in the district,” he said.
The Mayor said Ward Development Committees (WDCs) and Councillors together with community members in various wards should work together to achieve this.
