A Chingola based Company Status Hitech, has donated 100 bags of cement to Twatasha Combined School.
The school is building a 1×3 classroom block with two administration offices but got stuck with resources to complete it.

Status Hitech General Manager Speaking Mercy Lungu handed over 100 bags of cement to the local leadership to help finish the project.
Ms Lungu said education produces good societies.
She said her company is eager to plough back to the community especially in the education sector because education is a product of good society.
She said the firm was touched by the plight of pupils at Twatasha, learning in unconducive environment.
In receiving the donation, Chingola District Commissioner Agness Tonga thanked Status Hitech for the gesture.
Ms Tonga called on all money lending institutions in the district to come on board and support the education sector since most of their clients are teachers.
She said money lending institutions and all banks in the district can’t be milking the education sector without feeding it.
“Status Hitech is wholly Zambian owned company based in Chingola but now it is taking the lead in helping with corporate social responsibility,” she said.
Speaking at the same function, Chingola District Education Standards Officer (DESO) Albertina Chulumanda said Schools in Chingola have more needs such as lack of learning space and desks.
Ms. Chulumanda said many firms in the district were written to for help but only a few had responded like Status Hitech.
School Head Teacher Brian Kambole said the school has two streams namely; primary with 2,130 pupils while the Secondary section has 370 bringing the total to 2, 500 pupils.
Mr Kambole said the figure had posed a challenge for learning space and desks.
In a vote of thanks, a Grade 5 pupil Salifwanji Luanga implored Status Hitech to adopt the school for its CSR related projects.
Parents Teachers Association representative Sam Kalaba thanked the firm for the donation.
Mr Kalaba said the project of building a 1×3 classroom block had become static due to lack of funds.
Chikola Ward Councillor Martha Chanda was present to witness the donation of cement.
