SP URGES MARK SIMUzWE TO REFRAIN FROM TRIVIAL BEHAVIOR TOWARDS SP, ITS PRESIDENT FRED M’MEMBE

The Socialist Party (SP) has called upon Mark Simuwe, a Consultant for UPND, to refrain from engaging in what they perceive as trivial behavior towards SP and its President Fred M’membe.

SP Director Media Brian Hapunda expressed disappointment in the statements attributed to Mr. Simuwe, particularly noting the involvement of Gen Z youths in supporting UPND’s ascension to government.

Mr Hapunda highlighted the disillusionment of Gen Z and millennial demographics with the leadership of UPND and suggested that these groups would assert their influence in the 2026 elections.

He further suggested that Mr. Simuwe should prioritize advising President Hakainde Hichilema on fulfilling his pledges to reduce the cost of living, rather than engaging in what SP perceives as petty conduct.
