SP Condemns UPND Violence in Mwansabombwe

By Staff Writer
SP Media Director Brian Hapunda has expressed disappointment over the behavior of UPND cadres, who engaged in destructive activities targeting Socialist Party vehicles in Mwansabombwe constituency.

This occurred immediately after the announcement of results in the recently concluded Kabelenga by-election.

Mr. Hapunda added that the Socialist Party condemns the violence and urges UPND leadership to denounce such actions.

He emphasized the need for responsible conduct, particularly during celebrations, and called for an end to the recurring pattern of political violence against opposition Socialist Party vehicles during elections.

Mr. Hapunda stated that the political violence attributed to the UPND confirms that the party has a deep-rooted culture of violence, which Zambians have not forgotten, especially the ugly incidents associated with the Mapatizya formula.
