The Round Table number 19 of Solwezi has demonstrated has donated desks to St. Mary’s special school in Solwezi.
Round table number 19 Chairperson Barnabas N’gambi said the round table group decided to donate 15 desks to St. Mary’s special school in Solwezi at cost of K15,000 to enable the school provide space for more enrollment for children with special needs.
Mr N’gambi said their donation is in line with their constitution which aims at cultivating responsible and reasonable citizenship.
“We are here today to give our little support in teams of donating school desks as part of our contribution to the welfare of the school,” he said.
“It is our responsibility as stakeholders to support the less privilege in society,” Said Mr. N’gambi Said.
The Chairperson has therefore called on the other stakeholders to come on board to support the school.
And St. Mary’s special school Head Teacher sister Rajamani Arulsamy thanked the round table number 19 for the donation to the school.
Sr Rajamani said the school the donation will go a long way in supporting the welfare of the special children.
“our school has over 600 Children in running from pre-school to grade twelve with only 30 teachers,” Said Sr.Rajamani.
The head teacher said that the school started in 2017 and the school is growing at the faster rate.
Sr. Rajamani has since called on other organization to come on board and support the school.
