Solwezi Municipal Council (SMC) today exhibited at an event dubbed “Further Education and Careers Fair” organized by Sentinel Kabitaka School.
The Careers Fair that was held at Sentinel Kabitaka School was aimed at enlightening students on the various career options and opportunities available after completion of Secondary school.
The Fair was a perfect networking opportunity for the students, parents and teachers to obtain first hand information on the various disciplines that make up the Council departments.
Particularly, the students and their peers interacted with Officers from Housing and Social Services, Planning, Engineering and Legal who explained their careers and the need for them to be focused and hardworking as a prerequisite to reaching their goals in life.
Also exhibiting at the Fair were institutions in the education, health, engineering, finance and the hospitality sectors, to mention but a few.
