Solwezi Municipal Council Town Clerk Mr Stanley Zingalume Mbewe today led Council staff in cleaning of Mitec area as part of the weekly Make Zambia Clean, Green and Healthy Campaign.
The cleaning encompassed sweeping, litter picking and pressure washing of the drainage opposite Floriana Lodge.
The Town Clerk also took time to engage and encourage passers-by to actively take part in cleaning of their premises and surroundings.
Mr Mbewe also warned against indiscriminate disposal of waste and urged the public to embrace environmentally friendly practices.
Gratitude goes to all our stakeholders that took part in ensuring a clean Solwezi. Notable among them is Environment Africa whose members of staff were cleaning in Muzabula A.
The Make Zambia Clean, Green and Healthy Campaign is observed countrywide every Friday from 07:00 hours to 09:00 hours.
