Solwezi Mayor Remmy Kalepa has assured Solwezi residents of a better road network in the district with the newly procured Bulldozer.
Mr Kalepa said a good road network in the district has been the cry for many and the Local Authority is doing its best to ensure better roads.
He said that the procurement of equipment will help in opening up of more roads.
The Mayor said that the Council in the recent past has had to hire a Bulldozer as a result of the old one being faulty frequently but with the newly purchased equipment, it will go a long way in improving the quality of roads in the district.
Mr Kalepa said the equipment will also play a pivotal role in the opening up of roads especially in places where plots were offered to members of the public such as Kyapatala, Mitukutuku and other areas where people find it difficult to access their plots.
He said he is optimistic that more equipment will be procured in order for the Municipality to provide more services to the people of Solwezi.
Yesterday Barloworld Zambia has handed over a new CAT Bulldozer to Solwezi Municipal Council.
