Solwezi Municipal Council has procured a grader at a total cost of K 3.4 million using its local resources.
This is in an effort to improve the current state of township roads in the district.
Speaking during the inspection of the grader upon arrival, Northwestern Deputy Permanent Secretary Douglas Ngimbu expressed delight in the fact that the procured grader will contribute to the effectiveness of road rehabilitation projects in the district.
Mr Ngimbu urged the Local Authority to timely service the machine in order to prolong its life span.
