Green Buffaloes speedy winger Robin Siame says he won’t disappoint fans when given a chance to feature in the select side’s match against the National Soccer Team in Lusaka on Monday.
Siame is among the 18 players picked by fans for the test match set for Nkoloma Stadium as Chipolopolo coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic continue preparing Zambia for next month’s African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Cameroon.
Speaking by phone from his Lusaka base, the gifted dribbling wizard said he cherishes the recognition from fans.
“I thank the fans for selecting me; it is not easy, soccer fans are seeing my performance,” Siame said.
“I need to show fans why they selected me. I should not disappoint the fans when given a chance to play on Monday,” said the former Kitwe United and Indeni star.
Besides Siame, other midfielders in the fans squad include Spencer Sautu of Power Dynamos, Nkana’s Harrison Chisala, Chisamba Lungu of Zanaco, Zesco United player Donashano Malama and Boyd Musonda of Zanaco.
