The Zambia Women National Team is set to commence preparations for the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) coming up in Morocco in July.

Shepolopolo is next month scheduled to play two test matches against local select teams.

Head coach Bruce Mwape has already named his 30-member squad for next month’s fixture against a combined FAZ Women’s Super League select team.

The provisional squad has gone into camp to begin preliminary preparations.

According to FAZ Media, the game against a joint Zone A and B select team will act as part of preparations for the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON).

39 players comprising 19 from Zone A and 20 players from Zone B will face-off on Saturday and the top performing players will be named in the squad against the Copper Queens to be played on the weekend of 16-17 April.
