Zed Tamanga – Chief Executive Officer Gilbert Mwamba says the majority of school leavers lack proper career guidance hence the need to mentor them.
Mr Mwamba said mentoring school leavers as well as those still in school will help them choose the right career path.
He said school leavers also need to learn entrepreneurial skills because getting an education does not necessarily mean one has to get a white collar job
Mr Mwamba said Zed Tamanga is currently working on facilitating an Entrepreneurship and career talk for school leavers in Chililabombwe next month, in order to provide guidance on career choices, by having people from different professions to come and speak to them.
He said this would help them get a good understanding and help them make collective career decisions.
“For instance, one would say i want to study an engineering program without understanding what is actually involved in it, simply because they feel it’s an easy career for them to get employment upon completion”
