Salary increment should reduce unnecessary loans by Civil Servants

Dear Editor
I would like to congratulate the Government for two reasons:
• Awarding of an increment of salary to all civil servants. This is the first time that the Government in sitting has awarded 14% salary increment to all civil servants.

I hope this will reduce the impact of getting unnecessary loans from financial lending institutions. Our civil servant has become slaves when it comes to financial borrowing and loan repayment.

• The announcement by the Minister of Health Sylvia Masebo that Government has decided to reduce Licence fees to all the health workers from K370.00 to k100.00 this is not only a welcome move but all health workers should applause the Governments decision.

Government wants its workers to remain with something after getting their salaries.

Therefore, all health workers should thank Government on its move to reduce License fees.

This will encourage many people to join the health sectors and it will also allow health workers to work hard and contribute more to the health of Zambian people.

A Healthy Nation will Develop very fast and sustain its people.
